Conditions of Sale
1. Orders may be placed by mail, telephone or via e-mail.
2. Orders will only be processed on receipt of a signed confirmation of the order and a deposit of 50% of the total value. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to confirm details of the goods to be ordered (i.e. dimensions, colour etc.) prior to processing the order.
3. List prices are retail prices including VAT (17.5%) and do not include delivery.
Payment
4. Payment may be made by cheque, bank transfer or payment card. Payment by credit card will incur a 3% handling fee.
5. A deposit of 50% of the full value is payable at the time of the order. The balance including delivery charges, is payable prior to the dispatch of the goods. If the purchaser cancels the order after 7 days from the confirmation of the order, the deposit will be refunded less a cancellation fee of 30% of the total value of the goods.
Delivery
6. Delivery charges will be made on all items (a minimum fee of £30.00) for all UK mainland deliveries. The purchaser will be advised on the full delivery fee at the time of the order. The purchaser should inform The Modern Garden Company at the time of the order, any access issues which may affect the delivery in order to avoid surcharges for failed or difficult deliveries.
7. For deliveries outside mainland UK please request a quotation.
8. Goods will be dispatched on receipt of the outstanding balance. The period between the order and delivery will be advised at the time of the order. Standard delivery times are between 2-6 weeks. All delivery times are approximate and subject to change. In the event of a delay to the order the purchaser will be advised.
9. All goods must be signed for and checked on receipt by the customer. Any damage should be reported to The Modern Garden Company within 48 hours. Damaged goods will be replaced as quickly as possible.
10. Goods deemed unsuitable by the purchaser will be refunded subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the order value plus collection and delivery charges, at the discretion of The Modern Garden Company. Alternatively a credit note may be issued for alternative goods.
11. If the goods are not returned in a resalable condition we reserve the right to refuse a refund.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
