Donna Florio rug

The Donna Florio Rug is a compelling fusion of artisanal detail and modular flexibility. At its foundation lies a grid of 50 × 50 cm Kimia fabric modules in elegant sand; a durable, polyolefin PU-coated textile that ensures longevity and subtle textural softness. Each module is meticulously embellished by hand, using flat Rope yarn embroidery. Two distinct patterns are featured, one reserved for the central field and another for the border, infusing the rug with geometric rhythm and layered depth. These handcrafted squares are then precisely joined with matching Rope yarn ribbon, creating a seamless, expressive surface that also allows glimpses of the ground below through the slight spacing between modules. Customization is woven into the design: up to three colors of Rope embroidery can be selected, enabling a tailored palette that complements the overall tone and mood of the space.
