Illum bench

The Illum Bench, by designers Merckx & Maes, has a powder-coated die‑cast aluminum frame that embodies Scandinavian restraint, forming gracefully curved profiles and slim, stable legs that lift the bench with visual lightness and enduring precision. Resting atop is a solid teak seat; crafted from A‑class plantation teak sourced from East Java, which warms the composition with smooth wood grain. Although its seat is unpadded, the teak surface remains comfortable and naturally water-resistant. The aluminum frame is treated for UV resistance and durability.
