Kilis rug

The modular construction of the Kilis Rug allows for seamless integration into a variety of settings, while the decorative surface showcases a meticulous handcrafted technique. Groups of four flat braids, created in Rope yarn in solid or two-tone colorways, are carefully aligned to form a striking visual rhythm. The spacing between these braid groups is deliberately varied, adding depth and a sense of movement across the rug’s surface. Each braid is sewn onto 35 cm-wide stripes of Kimia fabric using the precise Punto Zigzag stitch, which can be executed in matching or contrasting thread to enhance texture and visual interest. The fabric stripes are then joined lengthwise with the same Punto Zigzag technique, producing a coherent, yet richly detailed composition.
