Lazy chair

The Lazy Chair takes the familiar archetype of the chaise longue and strips it back to its essentials, resulting in a low, sculptural form whose character is defined by the interplay of wood, weaving and proportion. Designed by Monica Förster, it is distinguished by a handwoven surface crafted directly onto the structure, allowing the intricate pattern of Corda Rope to become both the visual and functional heart of the design. The woven seat appears suspended within a solid sassafras heartwood frame, available in natural or Aurea-brown finishes, creating a striking contrast between the warmth of timber and the graphic precision of the weave. Beneath this apparent simplicity lies a highly considered construction, with an AISI 316 stainless steel seat structure concealed within the timber frame and outdoor-specific materials selected for long-term durability.
