The Smile Armchair, designed by Frédéric Rota, features stress-resistant cold-injected polyurethane with a wooden insert, ensuring robust support. It is further complemented by a fixed foam cover in water-repellent polyester and an additional fixed foam cover in black polyester three-dimensional fabric. The fixed base is crafted from thermoformed plastic material, complete with spacers and handles for easy displacement. The swivel base is made of matt-varnished aluminium in a graphite colour, featuring plastic spacers and a rotation system on ball bearings hidden within the structure. The Smile collection, including this armchair, was honoured with the MIAW (Muuuz International Design Awards) in 2014, recognizing it as one of the most innovative products of 2013.
