Surf sunbed

Designed by Francesco Rota, the Surf Sunbed is a sleek study in balance, combining refined ergonomics with sculptural lightness. Its slender skeleton is crafted from black cataphoresis‑treated and polyester‑varnished steel, offering durability and a crisp visual presence. A thermoformed polyethylene back panel, wrapped in polyester fabric, adds subdued volume and privacy to the silhouette. The frame is upholstered in Rope fabric, tightly fixed for clean continuity. Below, a visible base of satin‑finished AISI 316 stainless steel provides a subtle contrast and elevated poise. Function is fluid: the backrest adjusts to three positions, ranging from seated to fully reclined. For complete comfort, the Surf requires a removable open‑cell polyurethane seat pad (covered in three‑dimensional polyester or Flex) and a loose back cushion in polyester fibre.
