Swing suspended seat

Designed by Edward van Vliet, the Swing Suspended Seat has a cradle-like shell which is suspended delicately by stainless steel cables sheathed in Rope yarn, offering both structural integrity and a refined tactile accent. The seat itself is available in either natural or wengé-stained ash wood, finished with a protective matte acrylic wax, or in a high-gloss Mano Lucida–varnished aluminum, allowing the piece to balance warm organic character with sleek modern polish. Generously cushioned, the seat includes a supportive pad in open-cell polyurethane and a plush fiber-filled top cushion, both enclosed in removable, weather-resistant polyester cases. The suspended seat may be hung directly from a ceiling or pergola beam using integrated hardware, or optionally supported by a tailored AISI 304 stainless steel base frame with floor plates for freestanding installation.
