Wabi armchair

Designed by Francesco Rota, the Wabi chair’s structure starts with a frame built from natural or wengé-dyed sassafras wood, paired with a stainless steel seat base equipped with elastic belts and plastic spacers for resilient comfort. Fixed handwoven upholstery, crafted directly onto the frame using a waterproof silicone profile covered in Rope yarn or Aquatech, creates a tactile, enveloping shell. Comfort is ensured through a trio of removable cushions; seat, back, and loose. Each is filled with polyester fiber and a stress-resistant polyurethane core, encased in waterproof polyester. The wood frame is treated with water-based finishes to resist stains while allowing the sassafras to age gracefully.
