Yiko dining chair

Designed by Stephane De Winter, the Yiko dining chair draws on the principles of Japanese-inspired minimalism, pairing clean, restrained lines with the warmth of natural materials. The defining feature is the gently contoured seat, meticulously woven in recycled two-tone wicker, whose subtle variation in colour lends depth and texture while evoking the nostalgic charm of traditional wicker furniture through a distinctly modern lens. This handcrafted weave is framed by solid natural teak, where rounded transitions and carefully resolved joinery celebrate the honesty of the material and the enduring appeal of fine woodworking. Released first as an armchair in 2024, and now a side chair in 2027, Yiko balances generous comfort with an elegant visual lightness.
