Hayward Farm Garden

Set against a backdrop of a modern pale-stone country house and a gently undulating landscape, the property boasts a striking naturalistic garden conceived by celebrated plantsman Piet Oudolf. The expansive grounds include a natural bathing pond, a generous swimming pool, and a series of sun-drenched terraces that called for thoughtful spatial planning and refined outdoor living solutions.

The client’s brief was to create elegant, comfortable spaces that would reflect both the serene tones of the interior design, and the rich colours and textures of Oudolf’s planting scheme. Following detailed site visits and collaborative meetings with the garden design team, MGCo prepared an initial proposal that was reviewed with the client.

Design Director Lynne Isham led the creative development, producing a detailed layout, furniture schedule, and materials board. A key stage in the process involved a visit to Paola Lenti’s factory in Meda, Italy, where colourways, forms, and finishes were fine-tuned in close collaboration with the brand.
