The Repulse Bay

At the iconic Repulse Bay in Hong Kong, history and modern refinement meet in a setting of timeless elegance. Once home to the legendary Repulse Bay Hotel, the property has preserved its grandeur while evolving into a sophisticated enclave of leisure. Within this backdrop, the Palm Court terrace at The Verandah has been elevated through the addition of Symo’s Quattro parasols.

Commissioned by The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, the brief was clear: replicate the refined success of the parasols at The Peninsula Boutique & Café in London, while maintaining the brand’s global design standards.

The result: seven Quattro parasols, powder-coated in “Peninsula Green” with bold Forest Green and White striped canopies. Anchored by matching bases, they form a sheltered dining area that blends heritage with contemporary flair. More than shade, they bring atmosphere—structured elegance with a Riviera spirit, perfectly framing Palm Court’s historic charm.
